#### [50 Emerging (Technology) Themes to Watch Out For In 2024](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/50-emerging-technology-themes-watch-out-2024-rahim-hirji-8zsee/)
Some of the themes that caught my attention, in no particular order. Spoiler alert, it's all AI!
- Authenticity vs AI - The tussle between AI-generated content and human-created content
- Beaut-AI - The incorporation AI in the beauty industry
- AI Edtech - Advent of AI in ed tech + the shift to focus on teaching subjects foundational to AI expertise (especially in schools)
#### [How to fight the "tyranny of small decisions"](https://bigthink.com/business/how-to-fight-the-tyranny-of-small-decisions/)
- [Tyranny of small decisions](https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1467-6435.1966.tb02491.x) - Small, seemingly harmless individual choices could lead into a large, significant outcome that is harmful. Coined by Alfred Kahn in 1966.
- An example - People like local, independent bookshops. But people order books of Amazon cuz its easier. This runs the bookshops out of business. People get unhappy about this.
- **Think in systems** i.e *appreciate how your isolated decisions might affect the system you are a part of* to prevent unwanted effects of small decisions
